Officers of the ICMA are the Chairman and the Secretary. It takes care of the day-to-day running of the Association. The Board of Directors is composed of the representatives of the full members of the ICMA; each national association has one vote. The Council elects the Chairman and the ICMA Secretary. The Council meets once every three years, on the occasion of the ICMA World Congress, and gives general guidance or instructions as it deems appropriate. Full members exist in the following countries: Australia; China; Korea; Malaysia; Nigeria; Poland; Singapore; South Africa; Thailand; Taiwan; United Kingdom; United States

The Board of Directors of ICMA is limited to a maximum of 13 persons. It is responsible for determining the programme and for managing the finances of the Association. Members serve 3 year terms of office and may be re-elected for further terms of 3 year period. The current Directors of the Board are: Dr. Peter Sackett, Mr. John Hsien, Dr. Sungtaek Lim, Dr. Richard Li, Mr. Jerry Her, Dr. Rek Chong, Ms. Helen Chang, Dr. Watcharavee Chandraprakaikul, Dr.Hsi-Hsin Chien, Mr. Eric Kuo, Dr. Dahlina Daut Mohmud, Dr. Partick Odugua, Mr. Thomas Chu.

The Board of Supervisors is limited to a maximum of 3 persons. It is the control body of ICMA. Members serve 3 year terms of office and may be re-elected for further terms of 3 year period. The current Supervisors of the Board are: Mr. Dennis Wu, Mr. Sato Shinya and Dr. Goncalo Monteiro Duarte.
