ABSTRACT
Under the military threat from the People’s Liberation Army of the communist party China, the national defense plan of the ROC Air force is to implement combats alone by improving the performance of fighters (F16-V). However, pilots’ personal protection equipment (PPE) will not upgrade simultaneously. An oxygen mask is one of the problems; for example, there are substantial differences between Asian and Caucasian facial key dimensions, so there are more potential risks than other PPE. Current research surveys the oxygen mask problems by collecting pilots’ interview responses and their suggestions for improving its design.
