Crisis Management Plan for Social Media Crisis

ABSTRACT

  Nowadays, as the consequence of technological developments, social media is increasingly ubiquitous in our daily life and has become the most used and active way of communication. Most of the time people use it to get information worldwide with their smart phones, but is it all true on the social media? The answer is definitely no. The growth of social media has transformed crisis communication landscape because it allows more interactivity. This study took references of several researches by specialist and the rule of thumb on social media. We could understand more clearly and explicitly the pros and cons that the social media causes. In addition, we could categorize what tool we should take to solve the crisis that the social media brings to us, make the strategy to deal with the high-stakes potential crisis before it explodes out in the public and avoid the staggering results at the rally forefront.
