ABSTRACT

Crisis handling is a mean to pin point the current or potential crisis via preventive or proactive measure in order to solve it. Crisis management emphasize on solving crisis before it takes place rather than handling it afterward. In another words, as soon as the organization realizes the crisis might take place then cope with it rather than wait and see what it might happen. As a matter of fact, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. When crisis brake up, it would be a little too late, the difficulty would rise dramatically. This study will focus on crisis handling after it broke out.

No organization can be exempted from the crisis; therefore all organizations must learn how to deal with the crisis as much as possible. This paper studies two tools for diversity of situations of crises. The first tool is Crisis Response Strategies (CRS) and the second tool is Image Repairing Strategies (IRS). They provide the ways when the organization encounters crises and enhance capability to deal with crises.
