ABSTRACT
This research studies the ability of practicing the standards of the repair and maintenance safety control system at aviation maintenance units. Whether it is well fitted in the present international safety management system (SMS) is also investigated. So as to integrate the maintenance management of organizations to effectively manage the appraisal patterns of the system, create the core values of higher quality in aviation maintenance safety culture, guarantee maintenance safety, and enhance organization's operations. The objects of this study are the personnel of aviation maintenance units in Taiwan. Two main research techniques are conducted, including the analytic literature method and two-stage questionnaire survey procedures. The first effective pretest questionnaire consists of 80 questions in which project analysis, factor analysis, the Cronbach method, etc. are applied. The second effective official questionnaire has 250 questions, and narrative statistical analysis, topic of item, validity examination, the difference validity examination method, and the structural confirmation factor analysis method are conducted. The results reveal that this research method has good letter validity and four phases of factor construction are obtained from a total of 19 topic items. They are safe repayment culture, safety message culture, safe fair culture, and safe study with integrated culture. The results also provides a method that endeavors in maintenance units might take this meter to construct a set of weighted appraisal tools in maintenance safety in the future, as well as the reference of personnel.
